Lifesystems Thermal Bag – emergency heat-reflective survival bag

Lifesystems Thermal Bag provides full-body protection from cold, wind and adverse weather in an emergency. Once inside the bag, its metallised material reflects and retains more than 90% of radiated body heat, helping to reduce heat loss while waiting for assistance or dealing with unexpected cold conditions.

The emergency thermal bag is made from strong metallised polyester. Its windproof and waterproof construction provides additional protection from rain, snow and cold air. Thermally welded and taped seams help maintain a continuous protective barrier against the elements.

Measuring 210 × 100 cm when opened, the bag provides full-body coverage. When packed, it takes up very little space and fits easily inside a backpack, vehicle emergency kit, first aid kit or outdoor survival pack.

The metallised surface is also radar reflective, potentially helping rescuers locate the user during an emergency. The product is included in the recommended expedition equipment for The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
