According to the manufacturer, this model is now 10% lighter and offers improved handling in guide mode.

The updated construction with an ovalized anchor hole helps the device feed rope more smoothly and allows easier rope pulling. This is especially useful on multi-pitch climbs when belaying one or two seconding climbers directly off the anchor.

The device features multiple friction modes, allowing the user to choose the right level of stopping power for belaying, lowering or rappelling. The integrated auto-block release hole accepts small carabiners, making guide mode operation easier and more efficient.
