Petzl NEOX® is a new-generation cam-assisted blocking belay device designed for sport climbing indoors and outdoors. It is optimized for lead climbing, making it easier to quickly feed slack while maintaining Petzl's assisted blocking technology.
The key innovation is the integrated wheel, which allows smoother and faster rope feeding to the lead climber.
Cam-assisted blocking system
When the climber falls or weights the system, the rope tightens, the wheel stops rotating and the cam pivots to pinch and block the rope.
This provides a more comfortable belaying experience while maintaining the standard safety technique of always keeping a hand on the brake side of the rope.
Optimized for lead climbing
NEOX was developed primarily for lead climbing, where quick and smooth slack feeding is essential. It can also be used for top rope belaying.
Comfortable descent control
The ergonomic handle allows easy rope release and controlled lowering. The handle and cam mechanism provide a 3:1 mechanical advantage, reducing the effort required to smoothly control descent.
Eco-designed construction
All plastic components, including the handle, are made from recycled nylon.
