Edelrid OHM II is an innovative assisted‑braking resistor that helps compensate for weight differences (10–40 kg) in climbing teams. Improves safety during lead falls and lowering at the first bolt.
Edelrid OHM II is the second‑generation assisted‑braking resistor that reduces the load on the belayer when there's a significant weight difference (10–40 kg) between climber and belayer. The new swivel joint allows clipping in any orientation to the first bolt, while the locking mechanism and status indicator simplify rope setup and removal.
When attached at the first bolt, the OHM II gradually increases rope friction during a fall, preventing the belayer from being yanked against the wall and making lowering smoother. It engages only under sudden loads, preserving smooth rope handling while paying out.
