Morakniv Risberg Heavy Duty (C) is the most robust knife in the Risberg series, developed for more demanding tasks in outdoor life, camping, hunting and crafting. Its thicker 3.2 mm blade and reinforced geometry withstand more strain than the other Risberg models while maintaining the precision required for detailed work.
This versatile outdoor knife is suitable for camping, hiking, hunting, fishing, woodcarving, crafting and everyday use in nature. Its balanced design allows it to handle both rough and detailed tasks.
The 91 mm blade is made from German C100S carbon steel supplied by C.D. Wälzholz GmbH. The robust 3.2 mm blade is stiff and designed for demanding work, with a nominal hardness of 57.5 HRC.
The thicker blade and reinforced geometry make the Heavy Duty version suitable for tasks including light wood splitting and powerful carving. It withstands more strain than the other Risberg models, although Morakniv does not intend it for the same extreme use as its Full Tang knives.
The blade features a classic Scandi grind, well suited to outdoor use and woodworking. Morakniv specifies a total grind angle of 26–28° and an edge angle of 37–39°.
This geometry provides a durable cutting edge and excellent control for both powerful and more precise tasks.
The ergonomic handle is made entirely from durable polypropylene (PP), which withstands moisture, dirt and cold. Its non-slip grip provides secure handling in varying outdoor conditions.
An integrated finger guard improves safety during use, while the lanyard hole at the end of the handle allows paracord or a safety lanyard to be attached.
The knife comes with a durable polypropylene sheath. Its Click-Lock function securely retains the knife, while the ambidextrous design allows comfortable carry on either the right or left side.
The sheath can also be attached directly to the button found on compatible outdoor trousers for quick and convenient access.

Choose Morakniv Risberg Heavy Duty (C) when a standard outdoor knife feels too light and you need a stronger, more robust knife for demanding outdoor tasks. Its 3.2 mm C100S carbon steel blade and reinforced geometry make it suitable for powerful carving and light wood splitting while keeping the knife compact at only 132 g.
It is particularly well suited to camping, bushcraft-style activities, hunting, fishing, woodcarving and everyday outdoor tasks. If you require a knife for more extreme loads, a Morakniv Full Tang model such as the Garberg is the more appropriate choice.
